Welcome to Portiuncula University Hospital (PUH) and congratulations on your pregnancy.

This booklet outlines the maternity services available in Portiuncula University Hospital.

You will find useful phone numbers, signposting to our services and helpful resources.

Celebrating 10 years of service at Portiuncula Hospital – helping babies get the best start in life.

NEC has proudly delivered the HSE’s Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Programme in Ireland since its inception in 2011. Over this time, we have screened more than 780,000 babies across 19 maternity sites nationwide. With a national database and comprehensive coverage, 99.7% of babies are screened within their first three weeks of life. 

This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the dedication and collaboration of all involved.
